Captain Hollister
Commanding Officer in charge of Red Dwarf, Hollister was a fairly amiable sort of man, and yes, like everyone else, he had no time for Rimmer: his comments on the Second Technician's file ran thusly: "There's a saying among the crew: If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well. If it's not worth doing, give it to Rimmer. Possibly mad, has more teeth than brain cells. Promotion prospects: comical." His comments on Lister were not too complimentary either, and when he found that Lister had smuggled aboard a pregnant cat he demanded Dave turn it over, and when he refused the captain sentenced him to eighteen months in stasis, thus being indirectly responsible for the man's survival, and ensuring that the last human being was not killed. Hollister was, of course, killed in the accident that erased all life on Red Dwarf.
